Taylor Swift may be the most unusual of pop stars: an artist who was able to successfully cross the divide between pop and country music, conquering the globe. Swift is shedding her country roots as if she was shedding skins for second purposes, and has proven herself to be one of the smartest pop singer/songwriter in her generation. She has the ability to harness the current zeitgeist and create her unique. The evidence was clear in her earliest songs especially on the neo tribute of Tim McGraw. On her album Fearless (2008), Swift revealed a singer/songwriter who was beginning to understand herself. The album was a huge success, not just in America, but also with six platinum-certified songs. Its Top Ten songs Love Story & I Belong with Me were the most important reasons. It also performed exceptionally well throughout the world. The Swift's Speak Now album released two years ago consolidated her previous successes, propelling Swift into the spotlight. In the three subsequent albums -- Red 2012 1989 2014, along with Reputation 2017. her success only grew. It was a clear indicator that Swift had entered a new pop world where she fit in. Her popularity grew even after she changed her strategy with 2020's pared-down siblings the folk singer (and Evermore) and stayed in the forefront of pop culture.
