Deepika Padukone
Deepika Padukone is an Indian actress who is mainly seen in Hindi film. The actress has won three Filmfare Awards have been given to her, which makes her among India's most financially successful actresses. Time magazine named her as one of 100 influential people all over the world in 2018. In addition, she was awarded with the TIME100 Impact Award for 2022. Padukone, the daughter of the professional badminton player Prakash Padukone, was born in Copenhagen and grew up in Bangalore. At the age of 13 Padukone played badminton in championships at the national level. In the end, she quit her career in the sport to pursue a new one as a fashion designer. In 2006 she debuted as an actress in the Kannada film Aishwarya. Padukone later played a duo character alongside Shah Rukh Khan in her first Bollywood release, a romance Om Shanti Om (2007) and won her an award called the Filmfare Award for Best Female debut. Padukone got praise for her role as the lead in the romantic Love Aaj Kal (2009), but this was followed by a brief setback.
